You are the sole remaining employee of CAFE, unit 14, second floor food court.
The mall closes in seven days.
YOUR SHIFT
Each day you have 2 minutes on the clock. It hangs over the food court. It does not stop.
Serve 3 customers per day. From day five, a fourth customer arrives.
Tap a customer to begin their order.
THE TASKS
SEQUENCE — watch the squares light up, then tap them back in the same order.
Wrong? It replays. The clock keeps running.
REACTION — wait for the button to flash, then hit it fast. Too early counts as a miss.
ARITHMETIC — type the answer and press Enter. × before + and −.
THE FOURTH CUSTOMER
Friday — seven single digit numbers will flash in green on the register, one per second.
Type them in order with no spaces.
Saturday — three flashes of nine squares. In each, one square is a slightly
different shade. Find it three times.
Sunday — someone is missing a cat.
THE OTHER MAN
There is a mall security officer to the left of the line.
He is not here to order. He draws closer as the day goes on, faster every fifteen seconds,
and leaps forward when you make a mistake.
The closer he gets, the easier it becomes to see his true face.
DO NOT LET THE CLOCK REACH ZERO.
Survive seven days.
YOU MADE IT
SEVEN DAYS · SEVEN SHIFTS
The last customer leaves. The sign above the food court blinks out.
You wipe down the counter for the eighth time.
Somewhere behind you, a baton taps once against a tile.
THE MALL REOPENS TOMORROW.
